Freewave Takes Industry-Leading Wireless M2M Industrial Networking Solutions To Rockwell Automation Fair Event

The leader in spread spectrum data technology is showcasing its leading wireless Machine-to-Machine (M2M) industrial networking solutions that extend the capabilities of Rockwell Automation Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).  Additionally, the company is hosting a contest at its booth (#506) that allows attendees multiple chances of winning a 750 GB external hard drive.

PHILADELPHIA – FreeWave Technologies, manufacturer of the most reliable, high-performance spread spectrum and licensed radios for critical data transmission, today announced details of its involvement at the annual Rockwell Automation Fair (http://www.rockwellautomation.com/events/automationfair/).

“Being a Rockwell Automation EncompassTM Product Partner is a critical component of FreeWave’s go-to-market strategy as wireless M2M communication solutions are at the forefront of industrial networking and process optimization,” said Curt Goldman, utility market manager at FreeWave Technologies. “Automation technologies are invaluable for various industrial markets that are looking to improve operational effectiveness and cost savings.”

FreeWave will showcase a variety of compatible Rockwell Automation solutions, such as its industrial grade, high speed Ethernet HTPlus radio, its award-winning FGR2 line of solutions (including its new board level and enclosed configurations), and its award-winning wireless IO Expansion Module. All FreeWave’s products shown can easily be incorporated into the Rockwell Automation family of PLC solutions for markets that rely on automation solutions, such as manufacturing, water/wastewater, electric power/smart grid and energy/oil and gas.

FreeWave’s Goldman will be presenting on how FreeWave’s wireless I/O solutions in particular are able to expand the abilities of Rockwell Automation controllers, which is an innovative solution for addressing issues previously deemed cost prohibitive, or technically infeasible. Goldman will be speaking both days of the conference, Nov. 7 and 8, at 10 a.m. in Room 204A.

Furthermore, FreeWave will be hosting a booth (#506) giveaway that gives participants an opportunity to win a 750 GB external hard drive by playing a slot machine game designed with a PanelViewTM Plus 1250, MicroLogixTM 1100 and an IO Expansion Module from FreeWave. At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, a FreeWave representative will draw out of two pools of business cards and select the winners for a new 750 GB hard drive.
