ST. PETERS, Mo. (AP) -- Chipmaker MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. said Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Tim Oliver is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
The company said it hired Mark Murphy to replace Oliver. Murphy has worked at industrial gas supplier Praxair Inc. since 2000 in financial and executive roles at the company's Asian and electronics businesses, and was named controller of the company earlier this year.
MEMC said Oliver will stay with the company through the end of the first quarter to assist with the transition and help complete MEMC's annual planning. Oliver joined MEMC as chief financial officer in November 2009.
