CHICAGO (AP) -- Littelfuse Inc. is buying Cole Hersee Co., a maker of power management products and heavy duty electromechanical and sold-state switches, for $50 million in an effort to expand its off-road, truck and bus business.
The Chicago-based circuit protection products maker is paying for the deal with available cash and existing credit facilities. The transaction is expect to add to Littelfuse earnings in 2011. Boston-based Cole Hersee has annual revenue of approximately $43 million.
Littelfuse shares rose 55 cents to $48.05.
