NEW YORK (AP) -- Nidec Corp., a manufacturer of motors and electronic and optical components, said Tuesday it has renamed subsidiaries it acquired in February 2007.
Nidec said Brilliant Manufacturing Ltd. will now be known as Nidec Brilliant Co. The subsidiary makes base plates and top covers for hard drive disks.
It also renamed other units acquired with Brilliant to reflect the Nidec name.
The changes go into effect April 1.
