SANTA ROSA, Calif. & VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Electric car company ZAP and New Fuel Systems Inc. announced Tuesday a distribution agreement for Canada.
Under the agreement, New Fuel Systems Inc. agreed to the initial purchase of $1 million worth of ZAP electric vehicles.
Both ZAP and New Fuel Systems Inc. are pushing for increased awareness and sales of electric vehicles, including automotive and consumer vehicles.
The partnership was spurred by the Canadian Government’s signing of the Kyoto Protocol, which binds them under international law to reduce greenhouse gasses.
