NEW YORK (AP) — Motorola Inc., a manufacturer of cell phones and wireless network equipment, said Monday it received contracts worth $394 million to expand China Mobile Communications Corp.'s network.
Motorola said it signed the contracts in the first half of the year and recorded about 60 percent of the revenue in that period.
The Chinese wireless telecommunications provider operates a network based on the GSM standard of wireless communication.
Motorola had sales of $42.9 billion in 2006.
