Smartphones powered by Android software are slowly, but surely, becoming more popular among tech consumers. Despite receiving none of the hype and fanfare that greeted Apple's iPhone 4, some of the Android-powered offerings from the likes of Motorola, HTC, and Samsung have become among the tech trend hits of the year. Their success goes to show manufacturers that a good product can can compete with a less-impressive, over-hyped offering.
