Mercedes-Benz Introduces the Car of the Future

According to Dieter Zetsche, chief executive officer of Daimler AG, the search for the car of the future is over and Mercedes-Benz has made it.

Autonomous cars seem to be the next big thing on the horizon for the automotive industry. Each car company has been testing the waters trying to figure out just what the car of the future will look like. But according to Dieter Zetsche, chief executive officer of Daimler AG, the search for the car of the future is over.

Zetsche spoke at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where he unveiled the new autonomous concept car by Mercedes-Benz called the F 015 Luxury in Motion. Zetsche calls the new concept vehicle the car of the future. It will offer comfort, time and relaxation for passengers.

“Cars will turn into mobile homes in the very best sense of the word,” says Zetsche.

The car looks like something out of the future as well, with its sleek build reminiscent of a space ship and spacious interior equip with touch screens and eye tracking technology.

Additionally, Zetsche outlines many features of the new car to an enthralled audience, even demonstrating features such as the car’s ability to recognize a pedestrian, illuminate a crosswalk for the walker and even say thank you once the walker has passed.

Though the F 015 is not ready for consumers, it seems that Mercedes-Benz is preparing to revolutionize the driving experience.
