Horween Leather Co. is where football begins. The company, which has 145 employees in a 190,000 square foot facility, starts with a raw cowhide and takes it through a number of processes, like tanning and embossing, in order to produce top-grade leather for NFL footballs. Wilson has been a major customer for years, and apparently, they get all their top-grade leather from Horween.
