The Place-A-Vent Portable Fume Extractor (PFE) from Vent-A-Kiln (Buffalo, NY) is a continuation of the original wall-mounted Place-A-Vent fume extractor, and utilizes a high-pressure fan unit fabricated with 14-gage steel housing. A self-cleaning cast aluminum wheel keeps maintenance easy. The PFE is a portable, self-contained unit; operators only need to plug it in and direct the discharge hose to the desired location. The fans utilize an enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) 1/60/115v motor. The PFE-350 can be used for general welding, and the PFE-750 for welding applications creating excessive smoke, such as carbide tip welding or situations with dirt/oil on the material.
