Allegro (Garden Grove, CA) has manufactured the Manhole Ventilation Passthru (MVP), which is designed to maintain and redirect air flow, with minimal restrictions, into manholes, sewers, and tanks. The MVP combines three components—a low-profile air vent, 90° elbow, and built-in mounting—all in one unit. Additional features include:
- A stabilization system that places the manhole cover on one of the flat channel corners.
- A collapsible duct that springs back into shape once the worker is through the opening and down the manhole.
- Vinyl and polyester ducting with a PVC coating that is heat resistant up to 180°F.
- A lightweight (11lb.), bright yellow high-impact polyethylene construction to withstand heavy use and extreme temperatures.
