The Rheem-Ruud SPIDERfire condensing-type commercial water heater offers thermal efficiencies of 92 to 95 percent and high recovery rates, according to the company, particularly during periods of heavy usage. The most powerful unit (at 350,000 BTU/hour) delivers 460 gallons of water per hour at a 100°F rise. Rheem also coats the tubes with corrosion-resistant porcelain enamel to extend the life of the flue system. A complex flue network eliminates “hot spots” where hot gases could concentrate, damaging the system over time.
