Sagle, Idaho - Encoder Products Company (EPC), manufacturer of AccuCoder brand rotary encoders, introduces a newly designed IP67 shaft seal. Now available in eight different models, this option is intended for encoders used in industrial motion control applications where dust and moisture are present.
An improvement over conventional shaft seals, EPC’s seal features a double-lip design that provides an extra barrier against contaminants. The seal is made of a Teflon compound that was selected for its balance of durability, chemical stability and flexibility. Tested to comply with an Ingress Protection rating of IP67, the seal is dust-tight and withstands strong jets of water and water immersion. EPC’s innovative IP67 shaft seal is now available in eight AccuCoder models: 702, 725, 758, 802, 858, 925, MA63 and the TR3 Heavy-Duty TruTrac.
