Greenlee (Rockford, IL) has added new Combination Drill/Tap Bits to its product line with longer drill, tap, and countersink bits that perform up to four times faster than traditional tapping methods, according to the company. These new longer length Combination Drill/Tap Bits are designed for use in material up to ½-inch thick. Combination drill and tap bits are used to quickly create threaded or “tapped” holes in copper, brass, aluminum, and mild steel. Greenlee Combination Drill/Tap kits are now available in three configurations: Long (LDTAPKIT), Standard (DTAPKIT), and Metric (DTAPKITM). Replacement bits sized from 6-32NC to 1/4-20NC are sold separately. M3 to M10 metric thread sizes are also available.
