Company's explosion-proof hoods provide a safe, particle-free ISO 5 environment, designed for Class I and Class II, Division 1 hazardous locations.

Equipped with UL-listed fan/filter module and lighting, they are ideal for working with fumes, flammable vapors, and performing applications in the presence of dust. The FFU (fan/filter unit) module is enclosed in cast-iron, explosion-proof housing and contains a fan-cooled motor that produces laminar air flow within the hood. A HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter removes particulates before the air reaches critical materials on the work surface. With a non-sparking motor, the FFU is designed for continuous use.

All system wiring is securely encased in filled, rigid piping that shields against combustion. Energy-efficient, low-profile, linear LED lights are UL-listed for Class I, Division 1 and Groups C and D hazard areas.

The explosion-proof hoods are available as vertical or horizontal laminar flow designs made with powder-coated steel frames. Horizontal hoods’ electropolished work surface and panels are easy to clean. The vertical hoods also feature a stainless steel work surface; however the side and rear panels, as well as the hinged sash, are made of static-dissipative PVC to eliminate static charges.
