Volumetric feeder is available in a range of sizes from 3” to 12” diameter auger. Direct drive keeps this feeder simple and easy to maintain. Drive is mounted to a modular base suited for a range of drives. Rear of feeder extends beyond inlet section and is combined with an air purge seal. The result is leak free operation and long seal life. Auger has a center shaft, which keeps flights at a constant pitch despite loading. This results in consistent feeding over center less augers that experience compression and expansion of flighting under load. A “keel” section provides smooth entry of solids and reduced shear into tube choke section. Variable pitch flighting is standard. The result is a powder specific flight that enhances performance, controls flooding and smooth’s discharge surging. This feature is well suited to mounting on scales for LIW feeding or even gravimetric feed. A simple, robust and non-proprietary construction result provides a cost effective and sustainable feeding solution.
