Atlas Copco Compressors introduces a new on-site nitrogen generator that integrates with existing compressed air installations and 
eliminates the operational and administrative costs associated with purchasing, transporting and storing bulk liquid supplies of gas. The new nitrogen generator (NGP) with pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology incorporates a carbon molecular sieve that adsorbs oxygen molecules from compressed air. The generator features two connected towers that work in tandem to produce an almost continuous flow of nitrogen gas. The NGP with PSA technology produces nitrogen purity levels up to 99.999% for flows up to 1200 scfm and is ideal for applications that demand the highest level of purity, such as modified atmospheric packaging, plastic injection molding, metallurgy, purging analyzers, electronics, fruit storage, wine blanketing and beer dispensing.
