HLR 750 Series AC-operated LVDTs have been approved for operation in Class 1, Division 2 and Class 1, Zone 2 hazardous locations. With a ¾-in. diameter, these hermetically sealed sensors offer contactless position measurement for critical applications in power plants using gas or steam turbines such as vane pitch servo controls and fuel valve position feedback. The environmental robustness of the UL- and ULC-listed units also make them suitable for position measurement in petrochemical process plants, gas transmission pumping stations, and auxiliary power generators. The units promise high resolution, excellent repeatability typically better than 0.01 percent of full scale, and non-linearity of less than 0.25 percent of full range output.
