Petro-Canada recently announced the launch of a new synthetic PAO-based product: the PURITY FG synthetic compressor fluid. The company states that the fluid is proven to protect against wear, oxidation, rust and corrosion while also providing greater temperature performance. The product meets food industry safety standards, is registered by NSF as an H1 lubricant and fits perfectly in hazard analysis, critical control point and good manufacturing practice plans. All components comply with FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3570 (lubricants with incidental food contact). PURITY FG synthetic compressor fluid is formulated to perform in wet food processing environments, and can be used to lubricate air screw compressors, centrifugal compressors, vacuum pumps or gearboxes in pneumatic, hydraulic or circulating applications.
