The V1000 compact current vector drive measures 3 in. x 6 in. and can be mounted side by side, yet is available in power ratings from 1/8 to 25 hp with open-loop current vector control. Dual ratings β heavy duty (150 percent overload for 60 seconds) and normal duty (120 percent overload for 60 seconds) β allow the units to be applied to outputs that do not require the added power load (i.e. fans, low-power pumps, etc.). The driveβs control features dual CPUs and a 2-ms scan cycle and can eliminate the need for a separate PLC. Programs, created with function block diagrams, can be downloaded from a computer and shared between drives via the βYβ stick, which plugs into a USB port. A removable terminal board with memory makes replacing data from old drives easy because no rewiring is necessary. Full data maintenance monitors show any deviation in electrical parameters before a variance in speed can occur.
