The V1000 compact current vector drive measures 3 in. x 6 in. and can be mounted side by side, yet is available in power ratings from 1/8 to 25 hp with open-loop current vector control. Dual ratings heavy duty (150 percent overload for 60 seconds) and normal duty (120 percent overload for 60 seconds) allow the units to be applied to outputs that do not require the added power load (i.e. fans, low-power pumps, etc.). The drive’s control features dual CPUs and a 2-ms scan cycle and can eliminate the need for a separate PLC. Programs, created with function block diagrams, can be downloaded from a computer and shared between drives via the “Y” stick, which plugs into a USB port. A removable terminal board with memory makes replacing data from old drives easy because no rewiring is necessary. Full data maintenance monitors show any deviation in electrical parameters before a variance in speed can occur.
