Graymills Corporation, producer of metalworking fluid systems, parts washers and ink circulating pumps, was presented with the 2015 “Manufacturer of the Year” award from the Illinois Alliance for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM) at the “Making Manufacturing Matter” dinner held October 7th in Chicago.
The” Manufacturer of the Year” award is one of the few given to manufacturing champions from the Chicagoland Region. This prestigious honor is for extended commitment to Illinois and for long term assistance to the economy, local residents and the state. Graymills currently employs about 75 people, and has been achieving success since 1939. The Shields Family purchased Graymills in 1980 making them the third owners of the company. Jerry Shields, the past President and Chairman of Graymills has been very involved with the Alliance and its Northeastern branch, NORBIC, for decades, helping to promote neighborhood job growth and community sustainability along with manufacturing success in the region. Craig Shields, the current President and Kristen Shields DeNoble, Vice President are the second generation to oversee the manufacturing company.
The Shields Family and employees thank AIM for their recognition of the hard work and continued success of Graymills.
