Available now are their BioSafe® Non-Folding Step Stairs in narrow widths, to accommodate confining aisle ways and limited access spaces. The stairs are made of continuous-seam-welded electropolished stainless steel to meet the most stringent ISO cleanliness levels.
Stairs help personnel reach high places to perform maintenance, cleaning, or process tasks. They come with rolling casters for easy relocation, and slip-free nylon leveling feet. When weight is applied, the casters safely retract. Stair models have two steps, five steps or seven steps and range from 16 inches wide to 24 inches wide. The top step of each design is deeper than the others, serving as a standing platform or a convenient place for tools or supplies. Both the five- and seven-step models come with welded side safety rails.
Steps are perforated to create a non-slip surface for climbing and standing. The perforations also promote laminar flow, with less surface on which particles can land. Wipe-downs are easier and faster. BioSafe stairs have also passed the OSHA Type IA (Extra-Heavy Duty, 300 lbs) ladder test, and are compliant with the OSHA portable-stairs requirements.
