ATLANTA (AP) _ American Software Inc. (AMSWA) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $1.2 million.

The Atlanta-based company said it had profit of 4 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and stock option expense, were 7 cents per share.

The enterprise software provider posted revenue of $28 million in the period.

American Software shares have declined nearly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $10.95, a decrease of 15 percent in the last 12 months.
