Altra Industrial Motion Breaks Ground In Changzhou, China

BRAINTREE, MA -- Altra Industrial Motion recently held a ground-breaking ceremony to celebrate the construction of a new 90,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China (near Shanghai). The new plant, Altra’s second manufacturing facility in China, will be home to Altra Industrial Motion Changzhou (AIMC).

The facility will enable Altra Couplings to better serve the Chinese market by providing shorter lead times and enhanced technical support. Initially, coupling production at the new facility will be focused on products for the Chinese wind power, metals production, oil and gas, and power generation markets.
