OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A Wisconsin-based bicycle manufacturer is giving away 250 bikes to children affected by last month's tornado outbreak.
Trek Bicycle will give the bikes to children on Friday at Schlegels Bicycles in Oklahoma City. The recipients were coordinated through the local YMCA, and the bicycles range in size to match the appropriate age of the children.
Trek employees at the company's facility in Waterloo, Wisc., spent two days assembling the bikes before they were transported to Oklahoma.
Bicycle accessory manufacturer Bell is providing helmets to accompany each bike.
