Brand Finance Releases Top 500 U.S. Brands

Brand Finance released their annual Brand Finance Top 500 U.S. Brands this week.

Brand Finance released their annual Brand Finance Top 500 U.S. Brands this week. And while, the number one brand, Apple measuring in at $128 billion — more than all American media brands in the top 500 combined — is no surprise, the list as a whole is interesting to look at.

To compile the list Brand Finance examines over 2,000 U.S. brands, in 16 sectors and over 100 subsectors to determine exactly what they are worth. The top 500 brands that are deemed the most valuable are then inducted into the ‘Billion Dollar Brands Club.’

According to Brand Finance, the number of billion dollar brands has decreased this year, falling from 519 in 2014 to 505 in 2015. However, 258 U.S. brands increased in brand value this year. While, technology groups make up the most significant portion of the list, manufacturing companies are represented on this list of successful businesses.
