Person Burned After Steam Explosion

ROME, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say at least one person was burned in an explosion at a northwest Georgia manufacturing plant. Rome-Floyd County Fire Chief Gordon Henderson tells the Rome News-Tribune (http://bit.ly/nLyfN6) that one person was being treated for steam burns. He did not know the extent of the person's injuries.

Henderson said a steam explosion occurred at the OTR plant on North Avenue in Floyd County around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday morning.
