DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A coffee and tea company has announced plans to develop a multimillion dollar plant in metro Atlanta.
Officials from Keurig Green Mountain Inc. on Thursday announced plans to develop a $337 million cold brewing facility in Douglas County. The plant is expected to create 550 new jobs over the next five years.
Officials say the company is developing a 585,000 square-foot manufacturing center where pods for the company's new, cold-brewed beverage system will be made. The cold brewing system is being launched in partnership with the Coca-Cola company.
Keurig President and CEO Brian Kelley said in a statement that Douglas County offers the company a diverse and skilled workforce, along with geographic and economic benefits.
