DAKOTA CITY, Neb. (AP) — Tyson Foods Inc. said Thursday that worker has been fatally injured at a company beef plant in northeast Nebraska.
Tyson spokesman Gary Mickelson saaid paramedics were called to the Dakota City plant early Thursday morning.
The man was a maintenance employee who had been working on a piece of equipment.
Mickelson said the man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is being notified, and Mickelson says a company team of safety and operations management staff members will investigate.
