PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities have identified a worker who was found dead in a hopper at a roofing tile manufacturing plant in west Phoenix.

Police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson tells Phoenix television station KPHO that the victim is 30-year-old Jantu Medrano.

Authorities say Medrano's body was in the hopper along with several tons of sand at Eagle Roofing Products.

Thompson says that so far, there's no indication of foul play.

Medrano was supposed to be off work at 2 p.m. Thursday. He failed to show up for his shift at 3:30 a.m. Friday but his belongings were still at the plant.

The Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health is also investigating.
