USDA News: First Certified Organic Pesticides

Seven pesticides from Pharm Solutions Inc., Salem, OR, have achieved USDA National Organic Program Certification. The company says its Rose Pharm, Veggie Pharm, Indoor Pharm, Flower Pharm, Fungus Pharm, Oil Pharm, and Soap Pharm are the only pesticides to qualify as USDA Certified Organic. The Pharm Solutions line of patent-pending organic pesticides has been available since 2004. "The process has been challenging," said Susan E. Lewis, founder and president. "We believe we have set a new standard for pesticides and hope this accomplishment motivates other pesticide manufacturers to follow suit."
