Plastic Pumps

Tecnium Pumps is introducing new plastic pumps for the most corrosive processes and environments. The BT series cantilevered pump has no mechanical seal and there are no bearings or bushings in the liquid. Thus, the pump can run indefinitely making it almost maintenance-free. Impellers and casings are machined (not injection molded) to exact specifications from solid plastic and are designed to handle solids. The impeller is designed with a large metal core, which absorbs most of the torque, adds to the life of the pump and allows for closer tolerances. The shaft is incased in a replaceable plastic sleeve and has a reinforced plastic column for extra strength.
