• The Fieldbus Foundation announced that an updated version of its specifications defines features that enhance Fieldbus functionality and provide incentives for automation equipment suppliers to utilize the open, non-proprietary Foundation Fieldbus protocol. Information: www.fieldbus.org •ISA has released the second edition of “Foundation Fieldbus,” providing information on the Foundation Fieldbus H1 protocol as well as installation tips. It covers power distribution and network power supply requirements, rules for cabling length, documentation requirements, a commissioning checklist, topology diagrams, system sizing formulas and tips for integrating with other systems.
