The president and CEO of a Canadian company is headed to an eastern Montana oil recycling plant where an explosion and a fire injured three workers.

Peter Margiotta of Green Oasis Environmental Inc. is expected to arrive Monday at the Custom Carbon Processing facility in Wibaux County.

Investor relations spokesman Stephen Taylor says the company will not make any public statements about the fire or the injured workers until Margiotta sees firsthand what happened.

Emergency officials say the fire started Saturday with an explosion as the contents of a tanker truck were pumped into a structure where three workers were installing insulation. The fire was being allowed to burn because of the danger of more explosions.

Alberta-based Green Oasis owns Custom Carbon Processing, which converts oil waste into pipeline-grade oil.
