Specialty chemical maker Albemarle Corp. has named John Steitz president and chief operating officer, effective March 1.
The Baton Rouge-based company says Steitz will oversee all aspects of Albemarle's operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, sales and health, safety and environmental.
Steitz has been with Albemarle since July 2000. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer.
