JA Solar Holdings Co. Ltd. said Wednesday that Chief Financial Officer Anthea Chung has resigned and will remain with the company through Aug. 19.

The Shanghai-based maker of solar cells and solar power products has tapped Min Cao to succeed Chung.

Cao has worked in the solar industry since 2006, having previously spent over a decade in the financial services sector. Most recently, he served as vice president of Jinglong Group and managing director of JL Capital, an investment company part of Jinglong Group focused on clean technology and renewable energy sectors.

Shares of JA Solar rose 2 cents to $4.75 in aftermarket trading after adding 17 cents, or 3.7 percent, to $4.73 during the regular session.
