The Defense Department said on Friday that Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Maritime Systems and Sensors unit in Manassas, Va., has been awarded a $155.1 million contract modification to design and support sonar.
The work uses commercially available hardware and software in military sonar systems. The Pentagon said most of the work would be done in Manassas.
Shares of Lockheed Martin rose 73 cents to close at $72.27.
