Gemma Power Systems recently put in an order to Aquatech Intl. Corp.; the newly purchased equipment that the company requested is intended for the Colusa Power Station of Maxwell, CA. Specializing in the field of water and wastewater treatment, desalination, water reuse and zero liquid discharge, Aquatech will design, manufacture and supply for Gemma:
  • Potable ultrafiltration equipment.
  • Wastewater ultrafiltration equipment.
  • Reverse-osmosis equipment.
  • A wastewater forced-circulation crystallizer.
The equipment is scheduled to be delivered in the fall of 2009, and will receive surface water canal feed to generate 300 GPM of treated process water and treat 500 GPM of generated wastewater, all the while achieving zero liquid discharge. This 640-MW combined cycle power plant is, moreover, owned by Pacific Gas & Electric.
