Form Automation Solutions (FAS), maker of the AuditMatic™ mobile data collection and reporting software, has inked distribution agreements with InfoLink and Industrial Network Systems, two regional factory automation value-added resellers. Industrial Network has market presence in the Midwest and will be the primary FAS sales outlet in an 11-state region, according to Stephen Woram, FAS founder and president. In contrast, InfoLink is strong in the South Central United States and Mexico, and will be the primary sales channel in those areas. Both companies represent GE Fanuc and other leading brands. FAS says that AuditMatic replaces clipboard-and-pen data-gathering tools; their software is for production workers who are not tethered to a computer at a fixed location. AuditMatic software runs on handheld computers and smart phones based on the Windows Mobile operating system. Designed to provide mobile workers with contextual decision support and new data collection options, such as photo and location capture, according to the company, AudtiMatic allows users to more easily and better perform their data collection rounds. Data collected using AuditMatic can also be shared with HMI, distributed control systems and other back-end systems. “We are pleased to announce our alliance with FAS, and believe that its AuditMatic data collection and reporting software will prove to be a key differentiator for our marketplace,” says Harry McCollum, INS President. “We already have had interest from companies in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, utilities, discrete manufacturing and municipalities. “AuditMatic software along with INS's application expertise will allow us to provide our customers with a complete range of plant floor data collection systems, both automated and manual. AuditMatic will also provide an additional means to get hard-to-collect manual data into our customers' SAP ERP systems efficiently without doubling up on data entry. This saves money on labor, and improves the accuracy and timeliness of the data being collected.” “We believe that most, if not all, of our customers have areas within their organizations that can benefit from the data gathering and reporting functionality and efficiency that AuditMatic provides,” Larry Amy, president of InfoLink adds.
