Ekato Corp. has opened its new North American Technical Center in Oakland, NJ. The 20,000-square-foot facility includes a testing laboratory, spare parts inventory, mechanical seal testing and repair, and agitator assembly. Testing and process studies are realized using a new fleet of skid-mounted process units: the ELA-5 process development reactor, a five-liter mixing vessel suitable for high temperature and pressure gassing reactions; the SRT-50, a 50-liter Unimix system for pharmaceutical and cosmetic liquids and semisolids; the LM-6, a six-liter Unimix system; and the Nano 100/Nano Lab, a high-pressure homogenization unit for submicron size droplet sizes. All testing units are mobile and can be packed and shipped when required to a customer's facility for on-site testing.
