Electro Static Technology, Mechanic Falls, ME, has announced a lifetime bearing protection guarantee for any new motor equipped with its AEGIS SGR Bearing Protection Ring. When the SGR is installed properly on a new AC motor (up to 100-HP/75-kw), the company guarantees the motor will not fail from bearing damage due to electrical fluting. In the event of such a failure, Electro Static Technology will pay to replace the bearings — up to 35 percent of the original motor cost.
