HOUSTON (Reuters) - An oil spill-stained tanker was delayed for cleaning before entering the Mississippi River from the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday, sources familiar with shipping said.
The vessel was believed to be the first cargo vessel or tanker requiring cleaning before being allowed in port since the April 20 explosion of a BP Plc well offshore Louisiana, which killed 11 workers and started a spill that continues.
