TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ Versum Materials Inc. (VSM) on Tuesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $61.6 million.
The Tempe, Arizona-based company said it had net income of 56 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 59 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 52 cents per share.
The supplier of specialty materials to the semiconductor industry posted revenue of $340.7 million in the period.
Versum Materials expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.32 billion to $1.36 billion.
Versum Materials shares have declined slightly more than 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 20 percent in the last 12 months.
