CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Business Council board of directors has endorsed more than $30 million in large business loans for three major projects that would bring about 100 jobs to Wyoming.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2c56EVL ) that the board on Thursday approved a $17.4 million loan to Standard Alcohol, which wants to build a facility in Cheyenne that would turn natural gas and carbon dioxide into mixed alcohols for use as a fuel additive.

The board also approved a $6.5 million loan to Atlas Carbon, which wants to expand its activated carbon plant in Gillette.

And it endorsed a $9.9 million loan to Cody Laboratories, which plans to expand its pharmaceutical manufacturing operation in Cody.

The proposals must be approved by the State Loan and Investment Board, which meets Oct. 6.
