CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The State Loan and Investment Board has approved a $2.9 million grant for a new manufacturing plant in Laramie.
San Diego-based Tungsten Heavy Powder and Parts committed in August to moving a manufacturing facility currently located in China to Laramie.
The Laramie Boomerang reports (https://bit.ly/1lAFdT9 ) that the plant is expected to supply tungsten components for military, industrial engineering and medical markets.
Tungsten CEO Joe Sery has committed to creating at least 25 jobs when the manufacturing plant opens and doubling the number within the first five years.
In the first year of operation, net wages are estimated to exceed $800,000.
