Elk Grove Villlage will host the 2nd annual regional manufacturing expo on Oct 21. The "Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing & Technology Expo" champions the Chicagoland area as a "Midwest Supply Chain Solution."
Elk Grove Village, home of the largest industrial park in the U.S., invites manufacturers from throughout the Midwest to the Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing and Technology Expo. The one-day event is an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and cultivate new relationships in an effort to position the Chicagoland region as a “Midwest Supply Chain Solution” in attracting both national and international business.
Coinciding with National Manufacturing Month, the Expo will be held on Oct. 21, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at 1925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village.
Last year’s Expo attracted nearly 100 exhibitors, all of them companies located within Elk Grove. The inaugural event also drew nearly 1,000 attendees — OEMs and manufacturers from the greater O’Hare region as well as Wisconsin and Indiana. The same turnout is expected this year; some of the industries represented will include precision machining, plastics, metals, electronics, and industrial services.
This year’s Expo also will feature the Business Excellence Awards, which recognize Elk Grove Village-based manufacturing companies that demonstrate leadership in the areas of Innovation, Sustainability, and Community Service. Award recipients will be announced and honored during a special exhibitor luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to opening of the Expo floor.
The Made in Elk Grove Manufacturing Expo is one example of how Elk Grove Village demonstrates its “Beyond Business Friendly” mission in order to better serve its business residents.
