GE Energy and OSP EXPO Host ‘St. Jude Night at the Reds’ Fundraiser

CINCINNATI, OHIO—August 15, 2011—GE Energy (NYSE: GE) and OSP EXPO today announced that they are teaming up to bring ‘St. Jude Night at the Reds’ to Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park on September 13, 2011. Together, the companies are hosting a fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Attendees of the OSP EXPO in Cincinnati are invited to attend this special night of baseball when the Cincinnati Reds will face the Chicago Cubs.

By purchasing discounted $10 tickets through the OSP EXPO registration website, OSP EXPO attendees can enjoy an evening at the Great American Ball Park to help the children of St. Jude in the fight against cancer. The Great American Ball Park is walking distance from OSP EXPO taking place at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The Reds will face the Chicago Cubs, with a game start time of 7:10 p.m. Ticket holders also are invited to a 6:30 p.m. pre-game special presentation in which St. Jude patients and patient families will be on the field to throw out the first pitch, bring out the game ball and receive special recognition on the main scoreboard.

“It takes a team to achieve victory, and that’s why GE Energy is teaming up with OSP EXPO and the Cincinnati Reds to support the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving children,” says Trent Waterhouse, VP of marketing for GE Energy’s Power Electronics business. “St. Jude Night at the Reds will give hope to patients and their families while helping fund the $1.7 million daily operating costs for the hospital’s lifesaving work. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.”

GE Energy’s Power Electronics business, formerly Lineage Power, has demonstrated passionate support for Memphis-based St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. GE Energy remains committed to this cause in honor of Sean Witsoe, St. Jude patient and son of Lineage Power President Emeritus Craig Witsoe. In 2009, Lineage Power started the first Dallas “Give thanks. Walk.” event and has since helped raise more than $275,000 to support the hospital’s research.
