Magnum Venus Plastech to give Vacuum Infusion Demonstrations Using Crystic Vacuum Infusion Resin at ICERP 2011, India

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, February 23, 2011 /India PRwire/ -- They will be infusing a glass reinforced part using Scott Bader's Crystic® 702 PAX resin, which is a rapid cure pre-accelerated isophthalic polyester based resin developed for infusing larger FRP parts. Scott Bader also has a stand (B3/B4) at ICERP this year.

On the MVP stand (D10) will be their Flex Molding Process systems, designed for cost effective closed moulding of reinforced composite parts. During each demonstration, experts from MVP will be explaining the methodology and recommended techniques for successful vacuum infusion, with useful tips and advice on the importance of having high quality mould tools and how to avoid common production problems if one has limited experience of vacuum infusion. A Scott Bader technician will also be on the MVP stand to answer technical questions on their range of closed mould resins and Crystic matched tooling systems: gelcoat; VE skincoat and choice of standard or rapid cure tooling resin.

The vice president of international sales for MVP, Joan Tracy commented: "MVP in the Middle East has a reputation for quality and service, which is why we are happy to be working with Scott Bader Middle East, who are regarded as a leading specialty resins supplier of closed mould resins, which are adapted for the harsher, seasonal climatic conditions typical in the Middle East, India and Africa".

Scott Bader offers a comprehensive range of ortho, iso and DCPD closed mould resins, as well as a high performance range of urethane acrylate based Crestapol® resins, specially designed for manufacturing heavily filled FRP closed moulded parts. Due to their very rapid cure, Crestapol resins combine significant productivity benefits with exceptional mechnical properties and fire, smoke and toxic fume (FST) performance when aluminium trihydrate (ATH) filled. Crestapol resins are now specified by manufacturers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, who produce a variety of moulded and pultruded fire resistant parts for demanding applications in mass transportation and buildings.
