Nucor CFO To Retire

Chief financial officer Terry S. Lisenby plans to retire at the end of the year, and the steel producer named James D. Frias as his replacement.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Nucor Corp. said Tuesday its chief financial officer, Terry S. Lisenby, plans to retire at the end of the year, and the steel producer named James D. Frias as his replacement.

Lisenby, who has worked at Nucor for 24 years, has been CFO since 2000.

Frias will become CFO on Jan. 1, 2010. Frias began working for Nucor in 1991 as controller of Nucor Building Systems - Indiana. He was promoted to corporate controller in 2001 and vice president in 2006.

In morning trading, shares rose 20 cents to $45.98.
