Newell Rubbermaid CFO To Retire

Company said Wednesday chief financial officer J. Patrick Robinson will take early retirement and step down at the end of the year.

ATLANTA (AP) -- Newell Rubbermaid Inc. said Wednesday that its chief financial officer will take early retirement and step down at the end of the year.

J. Patrick Robinson, 54, has served in the position since 2003. He joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2001 as corporate controller. Before Newell Rubbermaid, he was CFO for AirClic Inc. He also held several positions in finance at The Black & Decker Corp. over 18 years.

The Atlanta-based consumer goods company has begun a search for his replacement.

Shares of Newell Rubbermaid fell 28 cents, or 1.9 percent, to $14.75 in morning trading.
